In 1942, the war revved coin production up. Including the Walking Liberty 50 cent piece. At the time, this coin, known as the “Walker” was the largest-denomination coin being minted in 1942. Most coins of the time were spent and circulated. However, a few survived. Like this NGC graded AU55 Walker.
